Provides mutual support and self-help by supplying the community with peer-led group-based services, which consist of individuals with common experiences and interests. Provides assistance, either in person or over the telephone, on a one-to-one basis. Supplies the opportunity for individuals to build and sustain personal wellbeing. With personal wellbeing comes optimism for the future and a sense of empowerment, building, sustaining or reconnecting common relationships within families and friends, to extend existing networks and encourage communities to accept the people for who they are.
