In providing regular, planned, carer focused and flexible outings at low or no cost, linking Together seeks to allow carers the choice of attending outings and activities are suitable for them. Our Linking Together carer events are designed to be easily accessible to the carer; relaxed, friendly, supporting and a gateway to access other services. These monthly activities can also provide the carer with a well-earned break from their caring role in a friendly and social environment, which will hopefully introduce the carer to a whole new peer support network in their own local area or community.

Male only carer events held up to four times per year using local venues to support social interaction and friendship for male carers. Encourages male carers to become more involved in the caring community and their local community.
An opportunity for carers to develop friendships with carers from different backgrounds and nationalities and to build local support networks or establish their own Support Group.
For female carers aged 25-55 who would like to take some time out from their caring role and meet other women who are in a caring role. Meets for morning tea, movie and lunch or dinner out with the girls.

Genetic Alliance Australia is a tax-deductible registered charity formed in 1988 to provide peer support and information for individuals and families affected by a rare diseases, 80% of which are genetic in origin. Genetic Alliance Australia (GA-AU) is a peak umbrella group for rare genetic conditions/diseases, so rare they do not have their own support group. GA-AU will endeavour to facilitate contact with another family/individual affected by the same, or similar condition, and/or provide information about an overseas support group. Genetic Alliance also deals with enquiries and facilitates ongoing support for individuals, families, health professionals and other interested groups. GA-AU’s Filling the Void Project supports people living in isolation who are caring for someone with a genetic condition.
Genetic Alliance Australia has an extensive rare disease database representing 1300 conditions which enables us to put people in contact with others who have the same or similar conditions. We work alongside genetic services, allied health professionals and support organisations.

Aims to reduce falls and minimise social isolation. Weights-based class. It is a supervised class in which individuals primarily work with a program designed for them. Accommodates any fitness level.
A hospital familiarisation program for children aged 4-8 years as a school incursion. Allays fear through education about hospitals and offers support to families with a child in hospital.

This is all-encompassing support ensuring we include the whole family.
