Cancer Council Western Australia works to reduce the incidence and impact of cancer, through advocacy, research, education and providing people affected by cancer with support to enhance their quality of life. Cancer Council WA offers support programs and services for people affected by cancer that can be accessed by calling 131120. CCWA facilitated Cancer Support Groups and also external cancer support groups operated by other organisations that come under the CCWA umbrella are all listed on the Cancer Council WA website.

Includes art therapy sessions, friendly yarnings, access to a counsellor, guest speakers, complimentary therapies and health assessments.

Kalamunda Prostate Cancer Support Group is affiliated with the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and holds its meetings to enable daytime attendance by members from the Perth Hills and surrounding areas at a location which also provides access to major shopping and service facilities.

The objectives of the Kalamunda Prostate Cancer Support Group are:

  • to meet the needs of members though providing support, reliable information and guidance,
  • to enable members to discuss or share individual experiences, and
  • to promote awareness of prostate cancer and the objectives of the Group to the community.

 

Membership is open to all individuals impacted by prostate cancer – including those currently undergoing diagnosis or treatment, survivors, wives or partners, and supporters.

As well as our regular meetings, we may arrange special activities for the group or within the local community. For details of events, please email or phone one of the group contacts.

Meetings are held at Town Square Hall Barber Street, Kalamunda WA on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 10:00 am, except December.

This is all-encompassing support ensuring we include the whole family.
