Bouncing Back is a group held in Albany WA and is for parents of babies less than 18 months old. The group will introduce you to strategies, skills and ideas to help manage the mental health issues that can occur when becoming a parent. It’s a free informal, supportive program for parents that is run by specialist mental health professionals and child health nurses from WA Country Health Service Great Southern.
The program covers:
• the transition to parenthood – expectations vs reality and gains vs losses
• understanding postnatal mental health
• nurturing relationships – with self, partner, others and baby
• strategies for supporting mental health.
The Group is free and held Monday mornings with creche included.
